Summary 

The Spot Survey on Tobacco Trends, in use since 1998, is a biannual survey that monitors and identifies the prevailing trends, patterns, and attitudes related to tobacco and tobacco use.

The July 2014 survey was conducted in the following districts: Colombo, Gampaha, Galle, Kegalle, Anuradhapura, Jaffna, Batticaloa, Kandy, Kurunagala, and Mannar. It covered 2,472 male respondents ages 15 and above.
