Sri Lanka Spot Survey on Alcohol and Tobacco Trends, July 2010

The Spot Survey on Alcohol and Tobacco Trends, in use since 1998, is a biannual survey that monitors and identifies the prevailing trends, patterns, and attitudes related to tobacco and tobacco use. Even though alcohol is listed in the title of this iteration of the survey, it is not mentioned in the report.

The July 2010 survey focused on the following districts: Colombo, Gampaha, Galle, Kegalle, Anuradhapura, and Matale. The survey was conducted in July 2010 over a period of two weeks and covered a total number of 1,553 male respondents ages 15 and above.

The report is titled Trends in Tobacco Use. It features a comparative analysis of the results from July 2010 with those of July 2009 and a chart comparison of tobacco use trends results from July 2000 to July 2010.
