Summary 

This yearbook presents statistical data of the economic and social aspects in Benin. Statistical information is provided for climate, population demographics, education, health, agriculture, consumer prices, energy and industry, imports and exports, national accounts, and state financial operations. Epidemiological surveillance of incidence and prevalence of diseases are presented by subnational territories.

The data have been sourced from many government ministries including: the General Direction of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MFE/DGAE/DPC), the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA), the Ministry of Maternal and Primary Education, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (MAEP). Other information has been collected from the national census and externally from the United Nations Development Programme.
