The report provides tables with case numbers and rates for notifiable diseases for 1997-2006. Mortality numbers for notifiable diseases for 2000-2006 are also included in the report. Sections on gastroenteric diseases, meningitis, respiratory illnesses, zoonotic and vector diseases, STDs, unintentional injuries, poisonings, vaccine-preventable diseases, and mortality provide additional information and analysis of the epidemiological situation. In these sections, national immunization coverage for pentavalent, polio, MMR, rubella, and BCG vaccines is covered.
