United States - New York Adult Tobacco Survey

New York state's Adult Tobacco Survey (ATS) has been administered quarterly since June 2003, with the exception of the year 2013, when no data were collected. It is carried out by phone and web questionnaires, targeting all non-institutionalized adults 18 years and older living in New York state. The survey includes questions on tobacco use; age at first tobacco use; secondhand smoke in one's personal life, at work, and in public at restaurants; expenditures on tobacco products; whether the respondent has seen ads for New York's public health campaigns; cessation efforts; and the health status of the respondent, including diagnoses of chronic diseases.
