The main objective of the CLS was to determine the extent of labor in individuals age 5-17 years. The CLS was done using methodology from the International Labor Organization's Statistical Information and Monitoring Program on Child Labor (SIMPOC). Out of a targeted 13,327 households, 12,415 were interviewed and out of a total 19,391 children age 5-17 years, 16,464 were interviewed (a 85% response rate). The children had been identified during the IM-LFS, and although some children were no longer present in the household for the CLS, this did not effect the validity of the survey.
