To collect this information, this survey adopted the UNICEF Standardized Monitoring and Assessment for Relief and Transition (SMART) methodology.

The data were collected through in-person household interviews and anthropometric measurements taken from children. This survey took place in the mountainous and coastal zones in Hajjah. The sample size for this survey was 579 mountainous zone households and 644 coastal zone households.
