The tables in the Demographic Yearbook feature select demographic indicators, including size, distribution and trends in national populations, natality, fetal mortality, infant and maternal mortality, general mortality, nuptiality, and divorce. Data are shown by urban/rural residence, as available. While population statistics produced by national ministries are not available for all countries, Annex I in the Demographic Yearbook presents population estimates for the period 1998-2007 and Annex II presents the medium variant estimates of crude birth and death rates, infant mortality and total fertility rates, as well as expectation of life at birth over the period 2005-2010.
