The National Bureau of Statistics publishes annual tabulated data on registered births and deaths. Birth data include births by emirate and nationality from 1976 through 2005 and births by emirate, nationality, and sex in 2005. 

All deaths from 1986 through 2005 are listed by emirate, sex, and nationality. Comprehensive tabulations list deaths by sex and age group for the year 2005. Additional tabulations provide deaths by sex and cause of death for 2005.
