Summary

Uganda National Household Survey (UNHS) collects data in order to track and monitor poverty levels and issues related to poverty. The 2016-2017 survey was the sixth wave of this series since it began in 1999. This survey gathered data from 17,450 households throughout all of the 112 districts in the country.

The data were collected through in-person interviews that contained questionnaires on the household, the community, the market, and labor. The questionnaires contained topic areas of household socioeconomic characteristics, work, community services, employment conditions, and prices.
