Summary 

This report is a comprehensive health statistics and financial report combined. It includes the number of reported cases of disease by medical department, therapies provided, and medical tests conducted. Epidemiological surveillance numbers are included for tuberculosis, STDs, salmonella, and other infectious diseases. The report contains morbidity and mortality figures as well. Health expenditure data are for the fiscal year, July 1 through June 30. Many tabulations are provided at the national and island health district level. Sources of data include the Tonga Hospital Information System, Tonga Health Sector Support Project, National Health Account reports, the Communicable Disease Register, Reproductive Health Services, and the Ministry of Finance.
