Summary 

The 1989 Thailand Survey of Population Change collected data on a national level from approximately 43,000 households. The Survey of Population Change was conducted in four rounds consisting of three months in each round. The survey covered demographic characteristics and household events including births and deaths. In later rounds of the survey, households were interviewed a second time to collect data on changes in demographic characteristics and for additional household events.
