Summary 

Under the District Rural Development Programme, this survey was conducted in all seven rural districts (Kahama, Bukombe, Bariadi, Meatu, Maswa, Shinyanga Rural, and Kishapu) of the Shinyanga region. It was the first survey of its kind to be carried out in the region. Information was collected on household demographics, employment, education, health and nutrition, and social services.
