Summary 

The 2012 Tajikistan DHS is the first of its kind in the country. This comprehensive, nationally representative household survey covers population, education, health, nutrition, family planning, and household characteristics.

A representative probability sample of 6,674 households was selected and 6,432 households were enumerated. A total of 9,656 women ages 15-49 years were interviewed. Two questionnaires were used, one for the household and one for women. Height and weight measurements were take for all women and children under-5. Testing of household salt for iodine was also done.
