The study investigated societal and cultural understandings of sexuality, experiences in the adult population, and identified populations at risk of adverse consequences due to sexual activity. The study interviewed 2,810 individuals ages 18-74 years through a questionnaire. Participants were allowed to dictate the setting of their interview. As a result, interviews were conducted in homes, places of work, and other locations such as libraries.
