Summary 

The Sri Lanka STEPS Noncommunicable Disease Risk Factors Survey 2006 uses a survey methodology developed by the World Health Organization (WHO). It was conducted by the Directorate of Non Communicable Disease of the Ministry of Health.

The survey includes three steps—questionnaire, physical measurements, and biochemical measurements. The questionnaire covers demographics, health status, and lifestyle risk factors such as tobacco use, diet, and physical activity. Measurements include height, weight, body mass index, waist circumference, and blood pressure.
