Summary 

The South Africa Quarterly Labor Force Survey collects quarterly data regarding individuals working within the labor market, including people that are employed, people that are unemployed, and people who are not economically active.

The survey was launched in 2000 as the Labor Force Survey (LFS) and was conducted bi-annually in March and September of every year. A decision was made in 2005 to redesign the LFS and thus starting in 2008, the LFS became the Quarterly Labor Force Survey (QLFS).
