Summary 

The Solomon Islands Demographic and Health Survey 2015 was the second DHS survey conducted in the Solomon Islands. The first took place in 2006-2007. The purpose of this survey was to gather current information on population demographics and socioeconomic characteristics, fertility, mortality, family planning, maternal health, nutrition, and population knowledge and attitudes on STDs, domestic violence, disability, and health care access. Data were collected with household, women’s, and men’s questionnaires. 6,266 women and 3,591 men of reproductive age were surveyed. Anthropometric, blood pressure, and hemoglobin measurements were taken, and anemia tests were conducted.
