Summary 

The Senegal Malaria Indicator Survey (MIS) 2006 was the first MIS conducted in Senegal and was conducted as part of phase five of the Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS). It used a sample of approximately 3,300 households, yielding interviews with 3,063 households and 6.655 women, ages 15-49 years. The sample was nationally representative, and representative for urban and rural areas and at the regional level. Topics included were water and sanitation, household assets, insecticide spraying, mosquito nets, and maternal education.
