Summary 

The 2016 Saint Helena Population and Housing Census was conducted by the St. Helena Statistics Office on February 7, 2016. For the first time, participants were given the option of completing their questionnaire online; 12.9% of households and 7.5% of respondents submitted their answers using the online form. The total population at the time of the census was 4,534 residents, an increase of 457 individuals from 2008.
