Summary

Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. The 2002 Russia de jure census collected data through face-to-face interviews on housing, employment, education, and fertility. The census day was October 9, 2002 and field work took place October 9-16. A 5% sample of households from the census (7,080,849 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
