Summary 

The objective of the Epidemiological Survey of Mental Health in Coastal Peru is to identify the main mental health problems (depression, anxiety disorders, addictions and other mental health issues) in that area, the social conditions of people who suffer from them, and access to health services. The survey covers the cities of Piura, Trujillo, Chimbote, Ica, and Arequipa. The survey interviewed 5,811 partnered women; 6,555 adults; 2,530 aged adults; 2,400 adolescents.
