Summary

In 2004 a survey program was initiated to analyze the COMPASS project and USAID mission in Nigeria. The program consisted of the 2005 baseline household, health facility, and primary school surveys, midline surveys conducted in 2007, and final surveys conducted in 2009. The household survey contained questions on reproductive health, child health, education, and demographics. Facility and school surveys were administered to institutions, both public and private, serving the household respondents. For the baseline surveys 4,543 individuals (2,136 women and 2,407 men) were interviewed for the household survey. In addition, 233 health facilities, 882 schools, and 4,490 teachers were sampled.
