The survey is regarded as the most accurate measure of routine immunization services, and provides insights into community and individual attitudes toward immunization. In October 2010, over 19,000 households in selected settlements of every state were visited by trained representatives of an independent research company. Coverage was determined by vaccination card and the child's history as recounted by the family at 52 weeks of age. This source appears in the WHO and UNICEF Survey Data for Immunization Coverage Time Series 2014.
