The study collected data through in-home interviews given by healthcare employees. In each household, one person between the ages of 18-65 years was selected for the interview. The interview contained several different sections that asked about sociodemographic background and headache symptoms. These sections included parts of the Headache-Attributed Restriction, Disability, Social Handicap and Impaired Participation (HARDSHIP) questionnaire, the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), and the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire-Neuroticism (EPQ-N). Blood pressure, height, and weight were recorded. The altitude of the house was also measured. The sample size for this study was 2,100 individuals.
