Summary 
The purpose of this survey was to provide information on the risk factors of injecting drug users (IDUs) in relation to HIV and hepatitis C exposure, and to deliver a baseline for monitoring and evaluation.
 
A sample size of 277 IDUs in Nador and 268 in Tangier was obtained using a respondent-based sampling methodology in order to collect random samples of harder-to-reach populations.  Interviews were conducted and blood was taken for HIV and HCV testing.
