The first survey was conducted in 1992, and unlike the initial survey, this one includes questions on maternal and chlld health, family size and composition, marital status, family planning, and contraceptive choices. Fertility questions were directed to women between the ages of 15 and 54. The sample is comprised of 80,981 homes.
