Variables included in the microdata are: sex of child, birth order, number of surviving children, ages of mother and father, marital status, date of birth, place of birth, and place of residence. The Ministry of Health also offers microdata on registered births from 1985 to the present. In addition, the National Insititute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics (INEGI) provides microdata on birth registration in a different format.
