The sample design is composed of three parts: the metropolitan areas of Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara; municipalities with 100,000 or more inhabitants (excluding the metro areas); and the remaining municipalities. In total, 11,081 households were selected for sampling, 4,954 women were selected, and 4,494 were interviewed.
