Summary 

The Macedonia 2011 MICS was conducted as part of the fourth round of the survey series. Topics included child and reproductive health, education, child protection, domestic violence, and alcohol and tobacco use.

The survey was conducted using two samples: one for the general population, and one specifically for the Roma population residing in Roma settlements. The national sample covered 4,703 households, with 3,831 women, and 1,376 mothers of children under 5 successfully interviewed. The Roma sample included 1,079 sampled households, with 1,091 women and 476 mothers of children under 5 successfully interviewed.

Five questionnaires were used in the survey: a household questionnaire, women's questionnaire for women ages 15-49, under-5 questionnaire administered to mothers or caretakers of children under 5, child disability questionnaire for mothers of children ages 2-9, and vaccinations questionnaire for health facilities.
