Summary

The Kenya Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 1996 is part of round 1 of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) series: an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women. Topics covered in the MICS are intended to provide data that can be used to assess progress towards mid-decade goals defined at the United Nations 1990 World Summit for Children. Topics covered in the 1996 Kenya MICS include child and maternal health, immunization, and education. Data was gathered from household interviews of 22,353 women ages 12-49 and children under 15.
