Summary 

The Kenya - Kisii Central District Nutrition and Mortality Survey 2009-2010 used Standardized Monitoring of Relief and Transitions (SMART) methodology to assess malnutrition prevalence in children ages 6-59 months. The survey also assessed child morbidity, vitamin A supplementation, measles and BCG vaccination, infant and young child feeding practices, hygiene and sanitation, and crude and under-five mortality rates.

The sample included 730 households with 3526 people. Children under 5 years totaled 982.
