The Japan Population Census 1965 covered topics of employment, household size, and housing conditions. As of October 1, 1965, the total population of Japan was 99,209,137. Large-scale censuses are conducted every ten years in Japan, and simplified censuses (like the 1965 census) occur every 5 years after a large-scale census.
