It is a population-based registration system that relies on voluntary reporting. The 2006 Aichi Cancer Registry Report provides incidence and mortality rates for cancer in the Aichi prefecture of Japan. The rates are presented in tables broken down by gender, 5-year age groups, and type of cancer (by ICD-10 codes). Crude, cumulative, and age-standardized rates are included. The registry lists the leading causes of death and total number of deaths in Aichi Prefecture from 1961 to 2008, and in Japan from 2007 to 2008.
