Summary

The 2004 Jamaica Survey of Living Conditions (JSLC) collected data to provide information for policy development for the Jamaican government. A total of 1,981 individuals from non-institutional dwellings participated. The sample was a randomized sub-set of approximately one-third of the previous Labour Force survey (LFS) in an effort to data linkage between survey series. The questionnaire covered topics such as demographics, education, housing, social welfare, health, expenditures and included an additional parenting and familial relations module.
