Summary 

National Deworming Day (NDD) is an iniative of the India Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in which children ages 1-19 are provided with antihelminth medication at schools and preschools. In 2016, 36 states participated in National Deworming Day; states with soil-transmitted helminth prevalence rates above 20% participated in two rounds of NDD, in Februrary and August 2016.
