IHME cause-specific mortality estimates for acute hepatitis B, liver cancer due to hepatitis B, and cirrhosis due to hepatitis B are combined and used as an input to a hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) seroprevalence model in DisMod. The DisMod model is ultimately used to estimate acute hepatitis B disease prevalence and incidence.
