The XII Census National Population and Housing VII was conducted from July to August of 2018 through a organizational partnership between the INE (National Institute of Statistics) and UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund). The total population counted in the census amounted to 14,901,286 people, distributed as 7,678,190 (51.5%) female and 7,223,096 (48.5%) male.
