This dataset contains monthly precipitation data that is based upon readings from as many as 43,000 stations worldwide. The coverage of the dataset is not continuous over time. Quality-controlled data from 1986-2012 are also available. The data are available from the GPCC and fromthe NOAA/OAR/ESRL Physical Sciences Division (PSD), Boulder, Colorado, USA.
