Summary

The results of the Ghana Service Provision Assessment 2002 were conducted as part of DHS 4. The purpose of the survey was to facilitate the evaluation of services related to child health promotion and the treatment of childhood illnesses, maternity care, family planning, and the prevention and management of STIs and HIV/AIDS. For the 2002 GSPA, 428 out of 1,444 facilities nationwide were sampled, including public and private hospitals, polyclinics, health centers, health posts, clinics, and private maternity homes. Data was gathered through interviews with health service providers and clients and observations of provider-client interactions.
