The DHDSS monitors the Dangme West District and it covers an area of 1,529 square kilometers. The system records pregnancies, births, deaths, migration and marriages of household members. Dodowa HDSS is a member of the INDEPTH network and it utilizes INDEPTH standardized verbal autopsy tools.
