The National Nutrition Survey II examined the dietary habits of 19,329 residents of Germany, ages 14-80. Participants were chosen using two-stage stratified random sampling, and interviewed at over 500 study centers throughout Germany. Survey instruments included dietary history interviews and 24-hour dietary recalls. General health behavior and sociodemographic information was obtained through a computer-assisted personal interview (CAPI).

Report tables are broken down by sex and 5–15-year age groups.
