Finland WHO Multi-country Survey Study on Health and Health System Responsiveness 2000-2001

The WHO Multi-country Survey Study (MCSS) was carried out in 61 countries from 2000 to 2001. The study was an exercise in developing research instruments for assessing the health of individuals, adult mortality, health system responsiveness, and household health care expenditures. The survey modes, which varied from country to country, included in-person individual interviews, telephone surveys, and mail surveys.

Finland used both the postal and brief face-to-face survey modes. The postal mode had a final sample size of 2,692 adult native Finnish speakers (54% response rate), while the brief face-to-face mode had a final sample of 1,021 adults (52% response rate).
