Summary 

This survey is part of the In Depth DHS - III series and involved a panel design with two follow-up interviews from the 1995 Indepth Study of Reasons for Nonuse of Family Planning (EIS). The survey focused on family planning and reasons for non-use of contraceptives in the Assuit and Souhag governorates in Upper Egypt. Respondents included currently married women between the ages of 15 and 49, with a sample size of 2,444 and their husbands, with a sample size of 1,022. HIV and GPS data were not collected.
