Summary 

The Croatia Multiple Indicator Survey 1996 is part of MICS1, an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women. The 1996 Croatia MICS provides baseline information for the study of progress in the areas of child nutrition and immunization in post-war Croatia. Information was collected on immunization rates, prevalence of breastfeeding, use of preventative health services and caregiver knowledge on the treatment of diarrhea and respiratory diseases in children. Data was gathered from household interviews of caretakers of children under 5 for 1,937 children.
