The data were collected through in-person interviews in the home. The two-stage sample included 1,120 primary sampling units from which approximately 13,400 private households were selected. This survey followed many of the same conventions of sampling, methodology, and topics as previous rounds. New for this round were two thematic modules on child labor and household consumption. The major thematic areas of the questionnaires were household demographic characteristics, household characteristics, household expenditures, education, and employment.
