The survey covered eight provinces and included 207 sampling spots in controlled areas and 146 in endemic areas. Data were collected with serological tests and stool samples. In the controlled areas, 31,022 children ages 10-14 were surveyed. In the endemic areas, 166,184 persons ages 3-60 were surveyed.
