Summary

The Nutritional Status survey conducted in 1993-1994 examined the nutritional status of children, food production and intake, feeding practices, and water supply in 12 villages in Cambodia. The 12 villages were selected from the Kompong Chhnang, Kompong Speu, Prey Veng, Kampot, and Banteay Meanchey provinces. Three questionnaires were used for data collection. A village profile collected data on topics such as population, occupations and work force, education, and social activities. A household questionnaire recorded information regarding food consumption and production. A nutritional status questionnaire recorded anthropometric measurements. A total of 1,135 households were interviewed and 1,057 children were measured.

Results for this survey are reported in "National status and food practices in rural areas. Food and nutrition surveys in 12 villages of 4 provinces in 1993-1994".
