Summary

The 2005 Côte d'Ivoire AIDS Indicator Survey was a national health survey designed to collect data such as HIV/AIDS prevalence, knowledge of HIV/AIDS, attitudes towards people living with HIV/AIDS, and the sexual behavior of individuals.

The sample design included 4,368 households, 5,183 individual women aged 15-49, and 4,503 individual men aged 15-49. A household questionnaire collected data on demographics, housing conditions, education, use of mosquito nets, and identified men and women eligible for individual interviews and testing for HIV/AIDS. The individual questionnaires included a variety of topics, such as marital status, reproductive health, maternal mortality, and birth history.
