Summary 

The Violence Against Children Study (VACS) is a global effort to collect data on violence against children. The study monitors the prevalence of domestic violence, sexual violence, emotional violence, and exploitation. VACS aims to inform prevention efforts, policy regarding child safety, and the utilization of health services.  

The 2018 Cote d'Ivoire VACS assessed the experiences of females and males ages 13-24 via a nationally representative household survey. The study was designed to produce national estimates of the prevalence of physical, sexual, and emotional violence in childhood (among those ages 18-24 years) and in the past 12 months (among those ages 13-17 and 18-24 years).
